Why Indo4ward Requires a Checkout Agreement
At Indo4ward, our mission is to make it easier for people all around the world to access unique products from Indonesia. But with global reach comes global complexity — different countries have different standards, refund rules, and customer expectations.
That’s why we ask every customer to complete a checkout agreement before finalizing their order. This step ensures that both Indo4ward and our customers are aligned on responsibilities, liabilities, and expectations.
It’s not about making checkout difficult — it’s about making the process clear, fair, and transparent for everyone involved.
🌍 Why We Require the Agreement
When shopping domestically in your country, you may be used to specific protections — for example:
- In the U.S., Amazon allows easy refunds and returns.
- In Europe, consumer law often requires sellers to provide refunds within a set cooling-off period.
But here’s the key: Indo4ward isn’t Amazon or a domestic retailer. We’re a service that helps you buy directly from Indonesian sellers, many of whom operate under very different rules.
Once we purchase a product on your behalf:
- Refunds may not be possible, since most Indonesian sellers don’t offer them.
- Customs duties and taxes are your responsibility.
- Our product validation is limited to visual checks when items arrive at our warehouse.
The checkout agreement makes sure these differences are clear up front so there are no surprises later.
🛒 How to Complete the Checkout Agreement
When you reach the checkout page, here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Tick the Agreement Box
At the bottom of the payment methods, click the check box to confirm that you agree to the terms. - Enter Your Full Name
Type your full name exactly as shown on your billing address (or shipping address, if you’ve not chosen a different billing address). - Case Sensitive Entry
Be mindful that the name entry is case sensitive — the placeholder text is just a reference to the name you used on your billing details. - Click Accept
Once you’ve entered your name, click Accept to digitally sign the agreement and proceed with your order.
⚠️ Important Notes at Checkout
You’ll also see reminders in the price breakdown section:
- All taxes, duties, and customs charges are the customer’s responsibility.
- If duties are unpaid, it may cause delays or disposal of the package — in such cases Indo4ward is not liable.

🛡 Why This Matters
We know extra steps at checkout may feel unusual, but here’s why they’re necessary:
- Preventing misuse — Some customers attempt unreasonable refund demands (“just because”) or initiate chargebacks with their banks. These disputes can harm trust with financial institutions.
- Protecting sellers — Indonesian sellers operate differently than global e-commerce giants. This agreement respects their rules while still enabling you to shop internationally.
- Clarity for customers — By signing, you’re confirming you understand how Indo4ward works, reducing confusion later.
In short: this isn’t about making life harder for you — it’s about making sure everyone plays fair.
💬 Our Promise
Even with these safeguards, Indo4ward remains committed to great service. If something goes wrong — an incorrect product, a damaged item, or a reasonable refund request — we’ll always do our best to help.
But at the same time, we balance that with responsibility. By signing the checkout agreement, you’re helping us keep the marketplace fair, transparent, and sustainable for both Indonesian sellers and global buyers.
